The Bradford trip was today and i actually can't believe how much i enjoyed it.
I'd heard lots of things about Bradford, the only good thing being that you could get a good curry there. I'm a very accepting person, and i love new cultures and differences to what i am used to, however i had just never liked the sound of Bradford.
When we got there on the bus, it looked a little as i expected, a little run down and boring. And i did enjoy my time within the museum (images next post), however it was outside of the museum i found extremely intriguing...
I walked around in a group for a little while, however from what i was seeing, i decided to go for a walk off on my own. The city seemed to have thriving student area, similar to that of Leeds Uni, which i did enjoy the buzz off for a little while, however it was when i walked into town and saw all the signs of rejuvination that particularly grabbed my attention.
The market, the people, the sense of buzz in the air, but in a run down, rejuvinating place was kind of unreal to me, i loved walking around the city, and at one point i saw a high hill on the other side of the new development, which just looked like the perfect place to go and take a photograph of this fantastic place.
I really loved the way that the city thrives on being so multicultural, with the posters for regen, containing only people which appear to be of asian decent, whcih i have never seen anywhere else.
I have never seen another city like bradford, and will definatly be going back in the future...
